On the 17th of October 2023, the Diocese of Kumba Launched its 5th Diocesan Pastoral Week celebration. The first day was dedicated to Action and Apostolic Groups and Music Directors. The team of the Pastoral Week was taken from the theme of the Message of the Holy Father, Pope Francis, for Mission Sunday 2023: "Hearts on Fire, Feet on the Move"

On Sunday 8th October, Bishop Agapitus Nfon, Bishop of Kumba, raised St. Francis Mission Station to a Eucharistic centre.
