Mgr. Agapitus Enuyehnyoh Nfon

BISHOP OF THE DIOCESE OF KUMBA

Bishop Agapitus Enuyehnyoh Nfon, born February 11, 1964 in Shisong (Kumbo), is a Cameroonian Catholic prelate, the first bishop of the diocese of Kumba.

Bishop Agapitus was born on the 11th of February 1964 at Shisong Hospital (Kumbo). He was ordained a Roman Catholic Priest, after completing studies in Saint Thomas Aquinas Major Seminary, on the 22nd of March 1991, at the age of 27. After serving as a Priest for 20 years, on April 8th, 2011  (while serving as Rector of the aforementioned Major Seminary), he was appointed auxiliary bishop of Bamenda by Benedict XVI. At the same time, he was also appointed Titular Bishop of Unizibira. On March 15, 2016, Pope Francis appointed him bishop of Kumba, the head of the diocese which had just been created, by the dismemberment of the diocese of Buea.
